Lucardi is the largest jewellery chain in the Netherlands and, with more than 120 stores, has extensive nationwide coverage. Lucardi is also present with physical stores in Belgium and Germany, and they focus on these three countries with their e-commerce platform. International growth ambitions
Lucardi has significant (inter)national growth ambitions, which impact the existing e-commerce landscape. Due to ERP limitations and standalone custom solutions, partly around product information, the complexity of the landscape has increased significantly. A PIM system can provide a solution in this regard. Lucardi's wishes: maximum data quality and a flexible data model, so that expansion (in the form of new marketplaces or target markets) can be realised quickly. For international growth, data multilingualism is also essential.
Complexity of product variations
Lucardi's assortment is characterised by many variations within a product, such as size and colour. Lucardi wanted to be able to manage this complexity optimally within a PIM system.
Solution: Akeneo PIM
XSARUS has translated Lucardi's requirements into concrete possibilities in Akeneo PIM. With this solution, Lucardi makes use of strong core PIM functionalities that are highly developed. The data model of Akeneo was also a good match with Lucardi and suitable for the product range. XSARUS and Lucardi jointly realized the implementation of the system.
New articles are created in the ERP and automatically flow to the PIM system, where the data is enriched and the associated product structure is set. From Akeneo PIM, the correct product data ends up in the CMS of the e-commerce platform and feed management tools like Channable and ChannelEngine. Akeneo is linked to the new POS system and through the Akeneo App Store, Lucardi has integrated Translations.com for translating and managing multilingual product information.

Result: a single-source-of-truth
Thanks to Akeneo PIM, Lucardi can now rely on a single-source-of-truth for all product information. The workflow around product information is more efficiently organized; there is a clear overview of where action is needed. There is better control over the completeness and consistency of data and product variations and related articles are optimally arranged.
A major advantage is that Lucardi can manage the product data itself without the involvement of IT or developers. Thanks to the implementation of Akeneo, international expansion is now within reach for Lucardi.
