Van Tilburg's platform has a headless architecture; a decoupled back and frontend, with SCAYLE forming the e-commerce foundation. The platform is built on Nuxt, a technique that matches how XSARUS has been setting up headless platforms for years. After careful comparison of three content management systems, Contentful best matched the requirements. This layered system provides a lot of freedom in easily creating 'Shop the Looks' for a specific trend or theme.

The headless architecture offers speed and flexibility and allows Van Tilburg to fully engage on the frontend with unique content and personalisation. Thanks to the API-first approach, additional tools and functionalities can be easily integrated. Thus, Merchandiser, Spotler Activate (formerly Squeezely), and tritonX are also integrated into the e-commerce landscape.

In the physical store, you literally walk into different worlds, each space has its own colours and style to indicate and categorise the large assortment. Custom work from XSARUS means the new platform now much better matches the experience in the physical store. The replatforming of the webshop was also used to rebrand. Within the new corporate identity, XSARUS has logically and clearly shaped navigation, filtering, and search.
