Since the opening of the first Dille & Kamille store in 1974, they have been inspiring people to live consciously and sustainably. This is reflected in the varied assortment of products for the home, garden and kitchen. Hence, Dille & Kamille holds the internationally recognised B Corp certification for its positive impact on people and the environment. Consumers can shop with peace of mind at Dille & Kamille, in one of the 45 physical stores or on the unique e-commerce platform. We have proudly contributed to this for over 13 years.
Start of the digital transformation
Dille & Kamille began collaboration with XSARUS in 2010 to go 'online' with a webshop in addition to the physical stores. Since then, we have been working closely together. Orders soon flooded in on the first e-commerce platform. With its strong branding, Dille & Kamille grew into a major omnichannel retailer that is internationally active.

Solid Adobe Commerce platform
In 2017, on the advice of XSARUS, Dille & Kamille switched to Magento and later Adobe Commerce. The comprehensive Page-Builder offered much freedom for content creation and scheduling. To this day, Adobe Commerce remains the solid foundation of the webshop. The platform can effortlessly handle a large number of visitors, which is important for Dille & Kamille, especially during the hectic December holiday period. Also, during the COVID-19 pandemic when visits to the webshop increased significantly, the platform proved its worth.
Continuous optimisation
Continuous development is carried out on the Dille & Kamille platform, as well as on the adjacent tools and integrations. The headless checkout ensures an optimally arranged checkout flow, which boosts conversion. Additionally, it offers a lot of freedom in payment methods. Recently, the transition to the Adyen payment service was made. XSARUS also developed a link between Magento and Voyado to seamlessly integrate the Voyado Customer Data Platform. Furthermore, Spotler is integrated for marketing automation, personalisation, and email marketing.
In 2022, a new, fresh webshop design was launched. This better matched the evolving corporate identity and growth ambitions of Dille & Kamille. XSARUS developed the new frontend and technical connection to the backend.
Over the years, Dille & Kamille has become increasingly active in other countries, with stores in Germany and Belgium and a webshop in no fewer than four languages. This requires separate order flows per country/language, different assortments, and regulations to take into account. Complex, but something that can be excellently managed in Adobe Commerce. The fact that there are queues of visitors outside when a new store opens is a testament to the brand's popularity. Even beyond our national borders.
Omnichannel Shopping Experience
The Dille & Kamille store locator is integrated throughout the entire webshop. XSARUS ensured the integration of an order management system. This has further strengthened the online and offline interaction. With the optimised Click & Collect flow, visitors can select a preferred store in the 'My Account' environment. The current stock level of the preferred store is also shown on the PDP, in the shopping cart, and checkout. An incentive to visit the store and opt for a 'green option'.
